Here are four live recordings to give you a feel for our
repertoire. We have recorded two versions of each – one a short taste, followed by the full length versions. If you'd prefer physical media, we'll happily send you one of our press packs. To request a press pack, you can contact us here.
Glyn wrote this song about Captain Richard Collinson, a polar explorer who may or may not be
an antecedent. Captain Collinson's most famous voyage was in 1850, when he set sail in search of
the fabled Northwest Passage. We don't know if the two are related, but Glyn really hopes so,
mainly because he builds spaceships... and Captain Collinson's ship was the H.M.S. Enterprise.
It would also mean that the two of them basically have the same job, albeit separated by 150 years...
Glyn wrote this song based on a traditional Welsh Folk Story from the tiny coastal village of Nant
Gwrtheryrn This is not the first musical version of this story, but probably the first in English.
The only part in Welsh is the title, which means “The Story/Legend/History of Rhys and Meinir.”
A very popular traditional song. Chances are that you have sung this yourself at some point.
As is typical of our arrangements, we've tried to give it a little bit of a contemporary feel. Here's a video of us playing it live...
